but I’m too lazy to look through all the posts right now. How about adding spaces for more pictures (maybe just one or two more)? On some items, I feel like I should be able to show more details (sure, I can describe things, but a picture’s worth a thousand words). Also, would it be possible to add a block feature or is that a terrible idea. Say you’ve exhausted every possible avenue with a fellow trader, and you feel you’ve been burned. Of course, you would no longer wish to deal with this person. Is there a way you can essentially put this person on your block list so that they can no longer request a trade for your items, etc. I suppose you can just decline their trades, but if a person is really persistent…having to keep doing that gets annoying. I’m not saying anything of the sort has happened to me yet…it would just be a decent feature to have. What do you say…yay or nay? |

We’re considering more photos in ads, however we’re not sure yet if we’d like to add them to the ad directly or if we’ll let you sort of “attach” photos from your gallery to the ad. The pros/cons are that adding them directly to the ad is obviously quicker and easier but there would be a finite amount. Attaching gallery images to your ads gives you virtually an infinite amount of photos you can add. The block list is definitely doable. Miami, FL |

Thanks for responding to my inquiry! I was originally referring to just adding more pics to the ad itself. I had thought briefly about directing people to my gallery if I posted more pictures of items in there. Then I realized what a pain it would be for people to be clicking between my ad and the gallery just to get a better overall idea of an item I had up. My little brain couldn’t put two and two together about how we might actually just ATTACH items from the gallery…duh. That seems like a good idea. I could see how other people might need more than 3 or 4 pics…depending on what the item may be. I’ll be happy no matter what you decide with that. A block list would be wonderful too. I can’t wait to see what you come up with :) |

OK, we decided to go with just allowing for more images directly in the ad (6 instead of 2.) While working on the gallery album attachment model we realized it took more effort than it should for a simple ad that likely won’t have/need more than 4 photos anyway. With that method, you needed to create a new album, upload the photos there, then create a new Rehash, use the album browser to select an album, then select the pictures. At first the novelty of being able to attach images from your albums into an ad sounded great, but in practice it got overly complex. We still plan on allowing that for wish lists in the “what I’m looking for” part since that would only require 2 clicks. BISCAYNE PARK, FL |

That’s great! I don’t know if anyone else wants or needs to take more than 6 pics for an item, but it’s plenty for me. I figured that just adding them to the ad might be a little easier, but cripes! To do the gallery attachment sounds like too much of a pain in the arse! Anyway, thanks for implementing more pictures and for reading/answering my questions! :) |

Yes, THANK YOU for the photo upgrade. It gives me an outlet for exploring my inner photographer… the MACRO feature on my new digital camera rocks! And I think better photos make for better Rehashes! :> Lomita (near Los Angeles), CA |

Having more photos per rehash really does help – you don’t get that at an online store. If there are 4 nifty different details, you can see them all instead of just having to take the person’s word for it. Interlachen, Florida |
