i feel brand items offer desirable comfort that ordinary varieties lack. Moreover, the durability factor makes them even more attractive. |

I have certain designer brands that Ilike, and they make good quality items. I would def spend more if the item was made to last and was something I would use a lot. Blanco, TX |

A lot of it is also about consistency. You KNOW a certain brand delivers certain qualities. It’s like going to Target and knowing what to expect. You go to Bob’s Big Box Store and you may not know what you’re in for. Germantown, MD |

I totally agree with Merideth, if something is good i will go for it whether it is a brand or not. I wont mind spending high amount for something that i really like. |

Exactly what Jessica said. You know how certain things fit, and if they are your kind of thing, and you like it, why not spend a little more? Things that cost more(sometimes, not all the time) last longer. Blanco, TX |

Some of them are really overrated. I remember when Juicy wasn’t overrated and UGGs weren’t overrated. I think some people just make them overrated because everyone else has them. I’m not much of a designer person…if I like something, I’ll buy it, not because it happens to be some designer. Woodside, NY |

I generally prefer higher end names, but I don’t go out of my way to be obvious about it. Sort of my personal “inside joke”. I also agree with not wanting to look like everyone else. So, I “hunt” for my special things (including my Manolos) at thrift stores, yard sales, flea markets, etc. So, it’s about quality for me. |

Have to agree with alot of you..its about quality for me too!
I recently had a friend give me a rena lange skirt she didn’t fit into anymore. When I tried it on I loved it; it fit well and the fabric felt amazing. It was only later when I looked online and realized I had a $150 dollar skirt on that I realized it was ‘designer’ item. Its all about fit and feel. Im also not big on big ol’ logo names on my chest or mini junk in the trunk. >:-D San Antonio, Texas |
