I can’t seem to change my avatar.

I deleted the one that I had, browsed for a new one, uploaded it and it magically went back to the original one (a pic of my dog). At first, i thought I was just “out of sorts” but I tried it a few more times and it’s not the green…I really can’t change my avatar.

I can either remove it or attempt to change it and end up with the dog again.

Is there anything going on or is it just me?

(By the way…kick ass job on the site. Rehash is an amazing idea and it moves people to do even more when going green. Way to change the world!!!

That’s because your browser cached the old avatar. Avatars all have the same naming convention (screenname.png, screenname_thumbnail.png) so when you update the image, your browser reads the image as the same filename and therefore assumes it’s the same file. If you reload the page – which should be your profile page that you were redirected to – after you upload, you should see the new image. For instance, I see your avatar as an orange flower in a black background.
