Hello ladies! I have a problem I hope someone can help me with. I was recently given a Coach purse by a friend. Basically, she gave it to me because she didn’t take care of it and now it is very dirty. I checked it out, online and in-person, and I’m pretty sure it’s authentic. Regardless, I like the purse and thought “I’ll just get it dry-cleaned and all will be well”. Well, I’ve visited three dry-cleaners in my area and they all refuse to take it because of the leather accents and possible liability issues. Do any of you have suggestions? I’m wary to try cleaning it myself, but I’m thinking I have no choice at this point. I’ve been told to try Shout!, brushing it with baking soda, or going out and buying the cleaning products that Coach itself offers. Irvine, Ca |

Which kind of leather is it? I’d get in touch with someone from Coach and ask them how to clean it. I think their cleaners are fairly reasonable in price. Jefferson, Georgia |

I’m not sure what kind of leather it is, actually. Some of it is smooth and part of it is suede, I know that much. There is a Coach store in my mall. I think I’ll just go in there and buy their cleaning products and ask their advice. Thanks Kristin! Irvine, Ca |

The Coach website has a cleaner for leather and cloth. I think its about 10.00-15.00 a bottle works really well too. I use it on my purses. |

I have a DG bag and the inside is disgusting lol…it’s been like that since I received it, and how do you clean that? I’ve wiped down the outside of it a few times with a soft cloth and jojoba oil, which worked really well and made it shine again, but the inside seems to have pen marks and random stains. Can you pull the inside out of the bag (like you pull your jean pockets out)? If you can do that, you can probably use some baking soda and water to remove some stains. Jefferson, Georgia |

I’ve found that Mr. Clean magic erasers work wonders on the leather areas. I also received a very rough Coach and cleaned it up quite well with one of these. Saint Petersburg , FL |
