i have to make a literary argument/make a claim and have to support that idea, that was about as much instruction that i was given and i have no idea where to start! i have an idea about misogyny in the novel, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest but i’m unsure overall! anyone else ever write a research paper and can give me suggestions as how to go about this/experience? thank you!:)

What I usually do is first write an outline.
I go through the book and write quotes indicative of misogeny and their page numbers.
Next, I research the time/era and find the general attitudes, etc. I gather the research material and ALWAYS copy the sources as you go.
Third, I work on the overall structure.
Remember, if this is an undergrad paper, the first paragraph should describe and define misogeny and give a short background on the story.
The final paragraph should summarize the paper.
Each paragraph should flow into the next, either by subject or by the points outlined in the first paragraph.

I have to do a presentation on something I find interesting in literature so I chose a poem “shadows of doubt” by neal shusterman. I need a visual aid and have no idea what to do for a poem, any ideas/suggestions/experience? It can be a poster, handout, video, etc. pretty much anything I can think of. Either that poem or I’m going to do Ozymandias by Percy Shelley if I cannot think of anything. It’s a short presentation, about five minutes(which doesn’t make presenting in front of people any better as I detest it LOL) but any response is greatly appreciated, thank you!

Prezi is a more flashy version of powerpoint and has also stood out to professors when I have used it because they had never seen it before.

i so agree with Melanie, Prezi is a easy tool to use. just make an account online and your done. let your creativity go :). you can use videos and pictures in it
