Confused about trading your clothes, are we?
That's OK, we're here to help.
If you're reading this, you probably need a little nudge as to how to get started with Rehashing. How exactly does one Rehash? Keep on reading to find out.
Rehashing an item
1) The first thing you need to do is to use the main menu and access the Trading Post option. Within it, you will find the option to Rehash an Item.
Yeah, pretty simple.
2) Awesome. That'll take you to a screen where you can fill out the item information such as the title you're giving the Rehash, a description, size, what you're looking for in return (optional), and more. If you've got a photo or two of the item, you're given the option to upload them. It's very unlikely that anyone will want your item unless they know what it looks like, so be smart about it!
3) BAM, you're done. Your items will now appear in the Trading Post, which can be accessed by clicking on the main menu item, or within its drop-down item called View Rehashes.
Offering a trade
That nice Michael Bolton shirt we just Rehashed would be pretty useless to have up there if we couldn't get offers on it, right? Say "right." SAY IT!
1) There are a couple of ways to make an offer. One is through the person's profile. At the top left of their profile you'll see a number, that number tells you how many Rehashes that person has.
Nifty little Rehash counter
At the bottom right of their profile it will show the Rehashes they have. If you wish to view details, double click the Rehash. If you already know the details and want to make an offer, click and drag what you want from them into the box geniusly labeled "Drag items here" and then drag what you are willing to give them in return into the same box. You can offer up more than one item, or request more than one item at a time.
The other way to make an offer is directly through the ad in the Trading Post. When viewing the Rehash's details, at the bottom there will be a button marked "Make an offer". Click that and it will take you to a screen similar to the profile's small Rehash boxes. Perform the same steps to create an offer.
2) Once you have at least one of your items and one of their items in the box, an "Offer trade" button will magically appear. Yes, magically. Click that button, confirm, and voilĂ ! You've made your first offer. The recipient can choose to accept/negotiate or decline your offer.
After accepting an offer
You've successfully made an offer and someone accepted. Great! So now what? Well, that really up to you and the other Rehasher how you'd like to go about exchanging the items. If you're local, you can meet up locally and make the trade. If there's a substantial distance between the two of you, you can ship the items. Most articles of clothing are pretty light, so shipping won't cost you an arm and a leg. Also consider exchanging tracking numbers if shipping items.
Join groups
One of the great features of Rehash Clothes is the ability to join groups. Groups can be about anything, really. With groups, you can form communities of like-minded individuals with similar styles and interests. You can have groups for locals in your area and set up live swapping events. From time to time there will be Rehash Clothes sponsored events in various cities, however setting one up within independent groups is a definite boon. To join a group, click the Groups option in the Community menu. From there you can create a group by clicking the "Create a new group" button or join a group by entering the group and clicking the "Join group" button.
Ask questions
Aside from joining groups, participating in forums, connecting with others, and Rehashing clothes, you can also ask questions. You can get style advice, green living advice, or just about anything you'd like to know. These questions can be read by everyone and answered by all Rehashers. To ask a question, you can either do it from your profile in edit mode by going to Edit Profile from the My Profile menu, in the Home page when logged in, or from The Forest in the Community menu.
