Born in Sonoma California and lived here through high school with the exception of 1st -6th grade in Texas, Kansas, Maine and Texas again.
College in the 60’s, living in Berkeley, then U.C. Davis for graduation. Graduate school and teaching credential from Cal. State, Sacramento.
Married for 23 years, two great children and a good friend in my former wife. A career in public service always in and around education: State of California; California Teachers Assn.; Cal.Boards Assn.; Public Employment Relations Board and then school district management in labor relations and human resource management. 18 years in Reno Nevada in one of the largest school dstricts in the nation.
Retired and moved ‘home’ in 2007 and find retirement ( semi ) all that I hoped it would be.
Active in the community; governance and non-profits; theatre and cultural performances along with prudently developing the assets of a family partnership with my sister and mother.
Currently working on a lease of some of our land to Tattinger of France for vineyard development and expecting a lifetime supply of their world class champagne….
