about 2 oz of Purple Passion in a 4.2 oz bottle. It's all mixed up in the first picture, but when its settled it comes to about half. The second picture is my hair after I used this dye. Very subtle, but also very purple. 2 oz is quite a lot! I used 2 oz (the missing half of this bottle) to liberally coat all of my hair (which is layered and about 1.5 ft long from the scalp). 2oz should be enough to dye a chunk of long hair, or all of a short haircut
